Taqua Now Part of Sonus Networks
Richardson, Texas-based Taqua, the developer of mobile and fixed VoIP hardware used in the telecom industry, is now part of Sonus Networks, after the acquisition of the company last week. Sonus had announced the all cash acquisition last week, saying it paid $20M in cash at the time of close for the company, with potential for additional payments based on annual revenues. Taqua has 80 employees, and also has facilities in Massachusetts and California. Sonus Networks said Taqua had total revenues of $28.3M for its fiscal 2015 year, and $25.2M in revenues in 2014, with $16.8M in total revenues for the trailing twelve months ended June 30th, and GAAP operating expense of $21.0M for those same twelve months. Taqua was advised by Q Advisors LLC and Bryan Cave LLP in the deal; Sonus was advised by Bowen Advisors and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP.
