Wisegate Targets Privacy, Compliance Professionals

Austin-based Wisegate, the startup headed by Sara Gates which operates online, private communities for IT and other professionals, said today that it has launched a new Privacy and Compliance community aimed at senior level professionals. The firm said its new micro-community will allow members to collaborate with peers and have candid conversations about the industry, technology trends, and work-related experiences. Wisegate's subscription-based, private groups provide senior executives a place to be able to discuss technology and their issues, away from vendors and advertising. The new community is aimed at privacy pros, who are dealing with compliance requirements such as the Dodd-Frank Act, European Cookie Directive and Facebook FTC Privacy Rulings.
