Sigma Solutions Buys Chicago Firm
San Antonio-based Sigma Solutions, an IT infrastructure provider, said today that it has acquired a a Chicago-based provider of server, storage, and virtualization products. Sigma said it acquired the SSV Division of Laurus Technologies, but did not disclose any financial details of the buy. Sigma said the acquisition is its second in the last six months; the firm had acquired the Midwest assets of Artemis Technology last year. The firm said the acquisition expands its presence in the Midwest, plus also expands its offerings in the private cloud, mobility, data center, and managed services areas.
