Samsung Mobile Dangles $200K In Prizes For Developers
Samsung Mobile, the mobile phone manufacturer which has its U.S. headquarters in Dallas, said today that it is dangling $200,000 in prizes to help attract developers to create apps for its Samsung Galaxy Note. The firm said it will award a grand prize of $100,000, a second prize of $50,000, and a third prize of $25,000--plus other prizes--to developers who use the device and the S Pen Software Developer Kit to create an application. The company said the contest runs until April 2nd. Samsung's Galaxy Note is an Android tablet, which includes a pen for capturing handwriting. The firm said the Galaxy Note S Pen Challenge opens today.
