Dell To Buy SonicWALL

Round Rock-based computer maker Dell said this morning that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire SonicWALL, the provider of network firewall and threat management products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dell said it would be adding approximately 950 employees from SonicWALL to its team. SonicWall was private equity backed by Thomas Bravo, and is based in San Jose, California.
