BiO2 Medical Lands $13.7M For Medical Device
San Antonio-based BiO2 Medical, a developer of medical devices, reported late Friday that it has completed a $13.7M, Series B funding round. The round came from the Targeted Technology Fund and Pasadera Capital. The company said the round included a conversion of a $1M State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) award. BiO2 Medical explained that the round will go towards completing Design Verification Testing in support of CE Mark submission, and to initiate a human clinical study of its central venous catheter and Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter combination device, intended to protect against potentially fatal Pulmonary Embolism (PE) in critically ill patients. BiO2 Medical is headed by Christopher E. Banas. More information »
