Dell Buys Make Technologies
Round Rock-based Dell appears to have embarked on an acquisition spree, announcing its third acquisition this week--this time of Make Technologies, a developer of application modernization software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Make technologies is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and develops software used to migrate software applications from legacy systems. Dell said the acquisition will help its customers transition business critical applications from legacy systems to the cloud. Dell's three acquisitions this week were Clerity Solutions, another legacy application migration software firm, Wyse Technology, a developer of thin client hardware for the cloud and virtual desktop market. along with Make Technologies.
