Illumitex Lands $9.3M More, Appoints New CEO

Austin-based Illumitex, which develops LED lighting products, said this morning that it has raised a new, $9.3M in funding. The funding came from existing investors, including NEA, Morgan Creek Capital, Mousse Partners, Apex Venture Partners, DFJ Mercury and Syngenta Ventures. Illumitex also said it has named Chris Hammelef as its new CEO. Hammelef was previously VP and General Manager of Hadco Group, a decorative outdoor lighting company which is a division of Philips. Illumitex said the new funding round will go towards development of its lighting fixture product lines, and support for its LED technology development. More information »
