Freescale Semiconductor CEO To Retire
Austin-based Freescale Semiconductor, the publicly held developer of microprocessors and other semiconductors, said late Thursday that the firm's CEO, Rich Beyer, is retiring. Freescale said that Beyer will continue as Chairman and CEO while the firm runs a formal process to find a replacement. Beyer has been at Freescale since March of 2008. Freescale said it will be running both an external and internal search for a replacement. The firm did not say if it has retained an executive recruiting firm to help in the search.
