Freescale CFO to Retire

Austin-based semiconductor developer Freescale Semiconductor said this morning that its CFO, Alan Campbell, is planning to retire. According to Freescale, Campbell will remain as CFO while the company looks for a new CFO. Freescale said it has engaged an executive recruitment firm to assist in the effort. Name of that firm was not announced. Campbell has been at Freescale since before its spinout from Motorola, having joined Motorola in 1979; Campbell had been CFO of Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector in 2000, before the IPO of Freescale in 2004.
