Affinegy Buys Sagemcom Unit

Austin-based Affinegy, a developer of software used to manage set top boxes, broadband provisioning, and other software for managing video, voice, data and wireless services, has acquired the TR-069 ACS Solutions Business of Sagemcom. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Affinegy said the acquisition will add an engineering and business operations group in Dallas, and customer support, quality assurance and interoperability testing group in Poland. TR-069 is a standard developed for remote management of broadband devices over cable and other broadband networks.
