Gazzang Wins German Startup

Austin-based Gazzang, the developer of database encryption software headed by Larry Warnock, has added a new customer, the firm announced this morning. Gazzang said that anfesito.com, called the "Mint.com of Europe", has tapped the company to secure its customer data. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Gazzang's software helps encrypt databases running on a variety of popular, web-based database packages. The firm, which is backed by Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures, said that anfesito.com is using Gazzang zNcrypt for data encryption and advanced key management for its financial services application.
