Skyonic Takes $9M For Carbon Capture
Austin-based Skyonic, a developer of carbon capture technology, has raised $9M as part of a $35M funding round, the firm said Tuesday. The company said it is piloting a carbon capture and utilization plant in the United States. The funds are part of a Series C funding, which includes Northwater Capital Management, ConocoPhilips, PVS Chemicals, as well as Carl Berg and Zachry Corporation. The company said the funds will go towards construction costs for its pilot plant. Skyonic is applying its technology to capture CO2 from the flue gas of a cement plant, Capitol Aggregates, in San Antonio. More information »
