MicroVentures Makes VC Investments A Game
Is the world of venture capital investing just a game? It is, now, thanks to Austin-based MicroVentures, the online crowdfunding and investment platform run by Bill Clark. MicroVentures rolled out a new, Facebook game Tuesday called the MicroVentures Investor Challenge, which the company said will let players face off in six, weekly round to invest in venture backed startups like Foursquare, Taskrabbit, AirBNB, Etsy, and more. Although the virtual investments are not real, MicroVentures said that winners of each weekly contest will receive $250, and the game is free. MicroVentures is teaming up with game developer Zobee to power the Facebook game.
