MicroVentures Passes $50M In Crowdfunding

Austin-based online equity crowdfunding site Microventures, which is led by Bill Clark, said today that its companies have now raised more than $50M in equity crowdfunding from the site. The startup said that so far one of the biggest successes on its site was the recent acquisition of Space Monkey by Vivint. MicroVentures offers up an online crowdfunding site for startups, which lets angel investors invest in startups alongside venture capital firms. The company says it now has over 22,000 individuals using its site.
