Globalscape Wins Army Contract

San Antonio-based file transfer software developer Globalscape reports today that it has secured a new, U.S. Army contract, which it says may be reach $4.4M by 2015,. The firm said the contract goes to support the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E) logistics program. Globalscape explained that the deal is worth $1.35M over the first year, and two, one-year options which would bring the total to $4.4M. The contract replaces a previous, three-year contract awarded to the company in 2009. The U.S. Army is using Globalscape's CuteFTP and Enhanced File Transfer Server products for its military operations worldwide. Globalscape's software is used by a wide range of customers--including commercial companies--for supporting FTP and other file transfer on their servers.
