Metrum Technologies Acquired By ESCO

Waco, Texas-based Metrum Technologies, a developer of smart grid products, has been acquired by ESCO Technologies. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. ESCO announced the deal this morning, saying that MEtrum will become part of Aclara Technologies, a unit of its Utility Solutions Group. ESCO is a provider of hardware, software, and other products for the electric, gas, and water utility market. Metrum develops wireless public network communications products for electric utilities. The firm was headed by Steve Swenke.
