Pervasive Software Acquisition By Actian Completes

The acquisition of Austin-based Pervasive Software by Silicon Valley big data software developer Actian has completed, Actian said Thursday. The two had agreed on an acquisition in January, where Actian would pay $162M for Pervasive Software. Both companies are in the big data and business intelligence software market, helping companies in the retail, e-commerce, and other industries with business intelligence analysis.
