Dell, Microsoft In Windows Embedded Deal
Round Rock-based Dell and Microsoft said Thursday that the two companies are in a new agreement, which will make Dell a distributor, outsource manufacturer, and integrator for Microsoft's Windows Embedded products. Windows Embedded is the version of Windows which is used in embedded systems, such as in factories, custom products, and for inclusion in other products. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The two said the deal will enable Dell to provide Windows Embedded product licenses (COAs) with Dell product solutions.
