KMG Chemicals Buys Semiconductor Chemicals Company

Houston-based KMG Chemicals, a supplier of specialty chemicals to the semiconductor, electronics, and other industries, said today that it is in a definitive agreement to buy the Ultra Pure Chemicals business of OMG Group. KMG said it will buy Ultra Pure Chemicals for $60M in cash. Ultra Pure Chemicals had sales of $93.8M in calendar year 2012, according to KMG. Both companies are suppliers of chemicals to semiconductor manufacturers and others.
