TriQuint Semiconductor, the developer of RF semiconductors used for the communications market, said Thursday that it's particularly proud of one of its customers: NASA. TriQuint said a variety of its chips were used in the Sky Crane landing radar on the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) and its Curiosity rover, which have been raoming the Martian surface since last year. TriQuint said that a number of components on the MSL's landing radar were used in the successful landing of Curiosity on the Martian surface. Self portrait of Mars Curiosity from NASA.
