NetSpend Now Part Of TSYS, After $1.4 Billion Deal

Austin-based prepaid, reloadable debit card provider NetSpend Holdings is now officially part of TSYS, the two announced this morning, as TSYS has officialy completed its acquisition of NetSpend. The deal was worth approximately $1.4 billion. According to the two NetSpend is now officially a wholly owned subsidiary of TSYS, headed by CEO Dan Henry and President Chuck Harris. The two had announced the acquisition deal in February. NetSpend was previously listed on the NASDAQ.
