Southwest Airlines Offers Up Free Satellite TV
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines said today that it has launched free, satellite television on its Wi-Fi enabled planes, as part of a deal with satellite TV operator DISH. The two said that Southwest passengers will be able to stream free, live TV on its 400 Wi-Fi enabled planes, for free, plus access on-demand movies. The access will be available via iPod touch, iPad, and other personal electronics devices with Wi-Fi support. The two said the services will be provided via partner Row 44, part of Global Eagle Entertainment.
