Bigcommerce Gets Funding From Steve Case's Revolution Growth

Austin-based e-commerce software developer Bigcommerce said today that it has raised $40M in funding from Revolution Growth, the investment fund co-founded by former AOL CEO Steve Case. Bigcommerce said the funding is the fund's largest investment to date. Bigcommerce said that Steve Case will join the company's board with the funding. Bigcommerce helps retailers offer up their own e-commerce sites via subscription, handling the complexity of creating an online store. The firm is led by Eddie Machaalani and Mitchell Harper.
