TrueAbility Scores $2M For Employee Screening Tools

In an effort to help companies better screen potential employees for their technical skills, in an automated way, San Antonio-based TrueAbility announced this morning that it has raised $2M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Austin Ventures, and also included Cloud Power Seed Fund 2013, Rackspace Chairman Graham Weston, as well as Patrick Condon and Dirk Elmendorf. TrueAbility has developed a service which helps HR department screen key hires in the areas of development, marketing, recruiting and more.

The company said its technology allows companies to screen employees remotely on the various skills for those area, making sure they understand key technologies, platforms, key vendor certifications, and more. Thomas Ball of Austin Partners joins the company's board as part of the funding. The new funding comes on top of earlier seed funding raised by the company in January.
