Gazzang Powers Software For GE

Cloud-based database encryption and security software provider Gazzang said this morning that it will support and develop cybersecurity software for GE, as part of that company's Predix software platform for building and managing Industrial Internet applications. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Gazzang--which is backed by Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures--develops encryption software for cloud based databases, as well as other related tools. Gazzang said it is providing encryption and key management for GE's Predix software. (Editor's note: In what looks like a over-eager annoucement, Gazzang issued a statement Wednesday that it does not have any sort of business relationship of any sort with GE).
