Gazzang Gets Certification On Hadoop Distribution

Austin-based database encryption software provider Gazzang said this morning that it has been certified with a distribution of Apache Hadoop, the CDH4 distribution created by Cloudera. Gazzang said its encryption and key management solution was certified for deployment in the distribution, used by enterprises to run the open source, Apache Hadoop big data software. Gazzang develops encryption software used to encrypt data in databases, which helps companies better manage their data security. Gazzang's venture backers are Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures.
