Gazzang Certifies With Cloudera
Austin-based Gazzang, the developer of encryption and key management tools for the open source database market, said its products have been ceritifed for use with the latest software released by Cloudera, a provider of Apache Hadoop software. Gazzang's software is used to provide data security and encryption of data being used with big data software like Hadoop. Gazzang said the certifiaction covers Cloudera 5, which was released this morning. Haddoop is widely use for clustered, massively scaled big data analysis. Gazzang is venture backed by Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures. Cloudera just announced Monday that it has raised a giant, $900M funding round, including $740M from Intel.
