New Book Chronicles Rise Of Compaq

Ever wonder how Texas became a center of the high tech world? The story of how one of the companies which established Texas in the high tech market -- Compaq -- has just come to market in a new book, written by co-founder Rod Canion. The book--Open--talks about the start of Compaq in the PC industry, and growth until the company's acquisition by HP back in 2001. Compaq's 30th anniversary was last year. Compaq was founded in Houston in 1982, backed by Sevin Rosen Partners.
