UT Arlington, TechFW In Commercialization Deal

The University of Texas at Arlington, and Fort Worth-based technology startup enabler TechFW said Monday that the two have entered into a multi-year partnership, to help commercialize UT Arlington research and move that innovation to the market. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to the two, TechFW@UTA will offer training and educational programs to UT Arlington's faculty, staff, and students, and also help faculty members and research teams access the North Texas entrepreneurial community. TechFW is headed by Darlene Boudreax. Bolstering technology transfer, the movement of research conducted at universities to the market, has been one of the more difficult challenges faced by many universities.
