Dell Funds E-Waste Efforts In Kenya
Round Rock-based Dell said it is supporting an effort in Kenya, to adopt a more sustainable model for e-waste collection and handling. According to Dell, it is backing the E-Waste Solutions Alliance for Africa in Nairobi, the first, large scale e-waste recycling facility in the region, which is aimed at providing environmentally sound management of e-waste collected in the region. Dell said it has funded two collection points in Kenya for e-waste so far, out of a total of four collection points in the country, and is funding efforts to train and educate workers in the country on how to safely collect and recycle e-waste.
