The Zebra Gets $3M For Online Auto Insurance Marketplace
Austin-based The Zebra said this morning that it has raised $3M in funding, via an extended seed financing round, for its real time, online auto insurance comparison shopping platform. The startup--led by Adam Lyons--said the funding came from Simon Nixon, Mark Cuban, and Mike Maples, Jr. The company said it has now raised a total of $4.5M. The Zebra's online site lets users find the best auto insurance rates, by comparing more than 200 auto insurance carriers. The round also included Floodgate, Silverton Partners, Birchmere Labs, and Swallow Point Ventures. More information »
