The Zebra Gets $17M For Car Shopping Service
Austin-based The Zebra, the Austin startup which operates an online car insurance shopping marketplace, said today that it has raised $17M in a Series A investment. The funding came from Mark Cuban, Mike Maples Jr., Simon Nixon, Silverton Partners, along with Daher Capital and Ballast Point Ventures. The Zebra, led by CEO Adam Lyons and COO Joshua Dziabiak (pictured), said it has now raised over $21M in funding. The Zebra operates an online, car insurance comparison shopping site, where users can get car insurance quotes. The company said it provided quotes to 3.5 million unique drivers in 2015.
