Datical Lands $3M For Database Management Software
Austin-based Datical announced this morning that it has raised $3M in a Series A funding round, for the company's database change management software. According to the company, the funding was led by Mercury Fund, and also included Austin Ventures and other investors. Datical, which is aiming its tools at the DevOps market, said it will use the funding to expand development and marketing. Datical's co-founders are Daniel Nelson, Robert Reeves, and Pete Pickerell, who were all previously founders of Phurnance Software. Nelson, Reeves, and Pickerell sold Phurnace to BMC back in 2010.
