Datical Gets $8M For Agile Database Software

Austin-based Datical said this morning that it has raised $8 in a Series B funding round, which was led by S3 Ventures, and also included Mercury Fund and Austin Ventures. The startup, which develops Agile database automation software said the funds go towards expansion of its platform, growing its product development team, and ramping sales, marketing, and support. Datical is led by Derek Hutson. The company said its clients now include such companies as Fidelity Investments, GE Transportation, eBay Enterprise, Deloitte and the State of North Dakota.
