Planview Gets Major Investment From Insight Venture Partners

Austin-based resource and portfolio management software developer Planview said this week that Insight Venture Partners has acquired a "substantial" interest in the company. Financial details and size of that investment was not announced. According to Planview, it has named Greg Gilmore as President and CEO of the company as part of the investment. Gilmore was most recently President and COO of the company. Pat Durbin, the company's former CEO and founder, has shifted entirely to Chairman of the company, and Insight has added three people--Larry Handen, Peter Sobiloff and Hilary Gosher--to Planview's board as part of the investment move.
