Fonality Gets U.S. Patent
Dallas-based business phone systems software developer Fonality has gained a new patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the company said yesterday. Fonality said the patent covers the queuing of inbound communications used for distributing calls in a call center. The patent number on the new patent was not announced by Fonality, which already holds at least two patents covering the queueing techniques used in its business phone systems, patents number 8,571,202 (issued in October of 2013) and 8,379,832 (issued in February of 2013). Both of those patents--and related patent applications--name Christopher Lyman as inventor.
