Verizon Wireless Courts Texas Startups With Free Phones, Tablets

Verizon Wireless announced this week that it has launched a new effort to support startups in Texas, through a new program it is calling Power My Startup. According to Verizon, it will provide startups with two Verizon smartphones, a 4G LTE tablet, Jetpack and other hardware. Verizon is asking startups to apply for the program at SXSW. In exchange, Verizon said it will be creating content around how those startups are using Verizon's network and hardware in their business.
