Freescale Launches New Wireless Charging Products
Austin-based semiconductor developer Freecale Semiconductor has introduced a new line of products for the wireless charging market. The company said this morning it has a new set of 15 watt Qi-compliant wireless charging products available to designers. The company's components are aimed at use in mobile devices, including tablets, large-screen smart phones and portable industrial and medical equipment. The Qi wireless charging standard is an emerging standard focus on wireless charging using inductive technology, and is being managed by the Wireless Power Consortium, and industry group founded by ChargeSpot, ConvenientPower, Devant, HTC, IKEA, Leggett & Platt, Nokia, TDK, Texas Instruments, and Verizon Wireless.
