Dallas-based datacenter operator CyrusOne said today that it is breaking ground for its new data center in Northern Virginia today, as part of an expansion on the East Coast. The company's new data center is in Sterling, Virginia, and is built on 14 acres, with approximately 400,000 square feet for its facility size, with about 240,000 square feet of that as raised floor space.
