Nimbix Partners With Digital Realty

Dallas-based Nimbox and data center provider Digital Realty Trust said yesterday that two are in a partnership, where Nimbix will deploy its high performance computing (HPC) products in Digital Realty's Dallas and Houston facilities. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. Nimbix develops cloud-based, high performance computing services specifically aiming at helping oil and gas companies to rapidly analyze large amounts of geological data. Nimbix is targeting companies who do not want to manage their own HPC environments. High performance computing is the use of massively scalable computer resources--either supercomputers or supercomputing clusters--to run through complex simulations and calculations.
