SpareFoot Set To Double Space In Austin

All of that rapid hiring over at Austin-based SpareFoot has the company bursting at the seams -- and has resulted in a new expansion at the company's headquarters, the company said Tuesday. According to SpareFoot, it is looking to nearly double the size of its headquarters in the Perr Brooks Building on Brazos St., to accommodate an expected 190 people at the location. The company currently employs 160 at the location. SpareFoot said the increase in space--thanks to two two floors --will bring its total square footage to 24,687 square feet, up from its current 13,683 square feet. SpareFoot has been in the midst of a big hiring boom, particularly in the area of customer service. SpareFoot operates an online marketplace for self storage space, helping consumers find nearby self storage facilities.
