Spanning Cloud Apps Trumpets Growth, Revenues

Austin-based cloud data backup and recovery provider Spanning Cloud Apps said this morning that it saw record breaking revenue growth in the first half, with a growth in revenue of 137 percent compared with the first half of 2013. The company did not release actual revenue numbers, however. The company said it tripled its number of users in the time. Spanning offers up software to back up cloud applications like Google Apps and Salesforce. The startup is led by Jeff Erramouspe, and is backed by Foundry Group and others.
