Alpheus Buys Business Unit From StratITsphere
Houston-based metro fiber networking provider Alpheus Communications, which serves the state of Texas, said today that it has acquired the retail, colocation business unit of StratITsphere. Financial terms of he buy were not disclosed. Alpheus said the deal includes a deal for a long-term lease of data center space in Katy, Texas. Alpheus said the move would help it meet colocation demand of customers, after it filled its two, existing Houston data centers. The new data center adds more than 12,000 square feet of data center space. StratITsphere will continue to operate its own data center and business, focused on wholesale customers.
