CyrusOne To Host 911 Dispatch Center

Dallas-based colocation and data center provider CyrusOne has expanded its suite of services, saying today that it will be opening up its first, ever, colocated 911 dispatch center. CyrusOne said its new facility will house both infrastructure and the 911 dispatch center for Carrollton, Coppell, Farmers Branch, and Addison, Texas, as part of a consolidate 911 services effort by those communities. CyrusOne said the North Texas Emergency Communications Center (NTECC) is expected to be more efficient and improve services for all four communities. Financial impact of the move was not disclosed; CyrusOne said the center will occupty 12,000 square feet in its Carrollton facility.
