Crossroads Systems Ramps Patent Litigation Strategy

Austin-based data storage technology developer Crossroads Systems looks to be ramping up its patent litigation strategy, saying today that it has hired intellectual propertly law firm Kroub, Silbersher & Kolmykov PLLC, the principals of Markman Advisors LLC, to help it figure out a patent monetization strategy. Crossroads said the law firm will help it develop a detailed monetization strategy around its 121 patents. The company said so far, it has identified sales revenue of potentially infringing products exceeding $82 billion. Crossroads Systems has apparently started drawing up a list of targets for patent suits, saying that it is in the midst of a "detailed" monetization strategy for its patents, identify infringing companies and products, develop detailed claims charts, and estimate revenue opportunities with those infringing companies.
