SpareFoot Challenges Austin Startups On Charity Effort
Austin-based SpareFoot has thrown down the gauntlet, and is challenging other, local Austin startups to surpass the company's efforts to donate food to the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. Sparefoot threw out its challenge Friday, directly challenging WP Engine, The Zebra, Pingboard, FitChimp, Main Street Hub and BuildASign to join it in its "CANpaign", to donate as much food as posisble to the Capital Area Food Bank from November 10th through November 21st. SpareFoot operates an online marketplace for self storage, but also has been a leader in pushing the local startup and high tech community to get involved in charitable causes.
