Mozido Buys Mobile Commerce Firm CorFire

Austin-based Mozido, which is developing a cloud-based mobile financial services platform, said late yesterday that it has acquired a majority stake in CorFire, an Atlanta-based mobile commerce company which had been part of SK C&C, a Korean IT services provider. Mozido said it will use the buy to advance its mobile wallet capabilities, and specifically help enhance a mobile wallet app with Dunkin' Brands. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. CorFire is focused on NFC-enabled payment and wallet software. Mozido said SK C&C will remain an investor in CorFire.
