KeepTrax Raises $1M For Life Location Logging
Dallas-based KeepTrax, a new startup aiming to help people remember information about their travels and other location-focused data, has raised $1M in a funding round. The funding was led by Naya Ventures. KeepTrax was founded by Kedar Benegal, who previously was at Sabre Holdings, and Ismail Thanickel, who has previously been at Good Technology, Motorola, and JP Mobile. The company says its software uses GPS and other mobile device sensors to capture location name, address, dates, times, durations, photos, calendar, and other context about a users' travels--both for travel, as well as field sales optimization,location-based user profile generation, and life-logging.
