Polte Launches Mobile IoT Product
Dallas-based Polte, a developer of hardware used for tracking Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, said on Monday that it has rolled out a commercial beta of its "Mobile IoT" location platform. According to the company, its product allows enterprises and developers with access to a cellular-based location solution. The company is targeting its products for use in supply chain management, loss reduction, pallet tracking, spoilage prevention and other use cases. Polte said its product enable low cost, long battery life devices by tying into NB-IoT, LTE-M/ Cat-M, and 4G LTE networks. Polte's Ceo is Ed Chao. The company said its technology eliminates the need for GPS and GNSS radios, and also provide better coverage in dense urban and indoor locations than those traditional location services.
